Stoner Prairie Elementary School Reviews

As our daughter completes her first year at Stoner Prairie, we have had nothing but positive experiences with her schooling. In addition to the usual classroom curriculum, she has been getting an opportunity to attend classess in American Sign Language, Music, Computers and numerous gym activities. This school is offering our child an experience that is beyond our expectations. Thank you, and keep up the good work, hard-working teachers and administrators of Stoner Prairie and Verona Area School District!

Our child has had an excellent experience so far at Stoner Prairie ( 3/4 of school year). He was reading above grade level at the start of the year. This was recognized immediately and he was offered extra reading sessions with the reading specialist. The teacher also continues to add extra reading, spelling, math etc that continues his interest and progress. Parent involvement is encouraged, but not required, and we have enjoyed volunteering in the classroom. We have also been impressed by the school's 'themes' of basic values - eg. charity in December - that review basic good quality values for all children and appreciate the school assemblies, parent nights and school activities that foster school spirit.
